COMING May 25^th to the ALTAVISTA COUNTRY CLUB

THE BRANDON MEADOWS BAND!

Brandon Meadows was a 2012 American Idol contestant and was one of 100 performers out of 10,000 to make it through the first round in Charlotte, NC. Brandon eventually made it to the 3^rd round, held at Pinehurst, NC, and barely missed out on going to Hollywood.

The Brandon Meadows Band is a “rocking country music band” that primarily features modern country music. However, their versatility is evident in their covers of The Beatles, AC/DC, and Lynyrd Skynyrd to name a few.

Please come join us, sit back, relax, and enjoy the concert. We would like to have this event outside if the weather permits. If not, the concert will be in the ballroom.

The band will play from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. Cost will be $10.00 per person and you can bring guests. Children are admitted free.

Those participating in the Member/Guest golf tournament (and their families) will be admitted free of charge.

Essentials of Leadership Thursday, May 30 (10 am to 1 pm)

During this course, developing leaders will learn a set of essential skills to meet both practical business needs and personal needs. Learners acquire a set of proven interaction skills, discover seven Leadership Imperatives for meeting today’s challenges, and realize their role as a catalyst leaderundefineda leader who inspires others to act. * Workbook required. Effective Communication Thursday, June 13 (10 am to 1 pm)

Learn the essential interaction skills that are critical to leadership success. Learn how to meet the personal and practical needs of team members and how to communicate in order to spark action in others to achieve business results. Learn how to provide positive feedback that recognizes and motivates individuals and teams as well as techniques in providing developmental feedback that helps others get back on track. . * Purchase of workbook not required.

Sexual Harassment Thursday, June 27 (10 am to 1 pm)

This course will examine what constitutes sexual harassment, best ways of reducing instances of sexual harassment and what to do when it occurs. Sexual harassment is not limited to gender or sexual orientation and, can cost organizations thousands if not millions of dollars. Strong policies and education are the best protection. * Purchase of workbook not required.

Conflict Management Thursday, July 11 (10 am to 1 pm)

This course enables leaders to recognize the signs of conflict, to assess each conflict situation to determine how they should involve themselves, and to encourage and counsel those involved in the conflict on how to resolve it. . * Purchase of workbook not required.

Megan Lucas, Economic Development Director for Altavista, will host this unique radio show. She will use her expertise and knowledge to make this show one of the most interesting radio shows in the metro area!
